                                                  Frequently Asked Questions

                                                  Q. What kind of machines will they be?

                                                  A. We own late-model, white appliances from Kenmore, Whirlpool and Speed Queen.  We cannot guarantee age or make since delivery is subject to what the driver has available on his truck at the time of delivery.  We guarantee that the machines will be clean and in good working order at the time of delivery.  We also include free service for the entire time you are renting your appliances.

                                                   

                                                  Q.  What time will the Service Technician be at my apartment?

                                                  A. Due to changing schedules and last minute work orders, our drivers do not set their delivery route until the morning.  All drivers will call you at the number you provided by 10:30 a.m. to advise you what time period they will be in your area.  It is advised that you leave formal permission with your leasing office to let an authorized representative of Select Laundry into your apartment in case you are not home.

                                                   

                                                  Q. I missed the Service Technician because I wasn’t home or the leasing office didn’t provide access to my apartment while I was gone.

                                                  A.  We will attempt to complete the work order on the next business day we are in your area, but we need to contact you before rescheduling the work order.  We will call you to reschedule, but you may also call us at 800-365-8014.

                                                   

                                                  Q.  I don’t need the machines for a full 6 months.  Do you do a shorter term lease?

                                                  A.  Yes, we can rent for a minimum of 3 months, but there is a $29 early pick-up fee.

                                                   

                                                  Q.  What is the sales tax?

                                                  A.  Sales tax is owed on the monthly lease amount except in Colorado.  The rate varies between state, county and city, but usually ranges from 4 to 8% for an extra $1.25 to $2.50 a month.  This amount will appear on your monthly account statement. 

                                                   

                                                  Q.  Why is there a partial month charge on my bill?

                                                  A.  When a set is installed, you pay your first full month of rental and an installation fee.  The first month’s bill will have a partial month charge for the fraction of the first month of rental only.  Your first full month will have been paid at the time of installation. 

                                                   

                                                  Q.  I am moving, can I take the machines with me?

                                                  A.  We will move the machines for you for a charge of only $30.00.  Call us at 800-365-8014 to schedule the move.  You are not permitted to move the machines yourself and are liable for any damage to the machines outside of normal use of the machines. 

                                                   

                                                  Q.  I have already moved out, but I forgot to have my machines picked-up?

                                                  A.  Please call us at 800-365-8014 to schedule a pick-up as soon as possible and also call your leasing office to let them know the situation.  We will attempt to pick up the machines as soon as possible, but you are responsible for the machines until they are picked-up.   

                                                   

                                                  Q.  I am having a problem with my washer or dryer?

                                                  A.  We provide free service and repair for the entire term of your rental.  Please call us at 800-365-8014 to schedule a repair for the next day we are in your area.  If there is any problem with the washer, please turn off the hot and cold water valves going into the washer and don’t used the washer until the problem is fixed.  If your dryer is not working, please don’t used the dryer until it is repaired.  Always remember never to use any water consuming appliances (washer, dishwasher) unattended while in use.
